Terms of service

1. These terms

Wish-ly is operated by Stephen Ofori Yeboah, a sole trader based in Ghana, at North Legon, Accra, Ghana. By creating an account, building a page, or leaving a wish on someone else's page, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may only use Wish-ly with the agreement of a parent or guardian, and that parent or guardian is responsible for any payment made through your account.

3. Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into it.

4. What the service is

You build an occasion page in our editor, preview it as much as you like for free, and pay once to publish it at a public link you can share. You can also invite friends to leave short written or recorded wishes, which you approve or hide before they appear.

5. Price and payment

Publishing a page costs GH₵ 150. Payment is taken by Paystack, by card or mobile money. You pay the price shown to you at checkout; if we change our prices, the change only applies to pages published afterwards.

6. Refunds

Publishing delivers the finished page immediately and cannot be undone, so payment for a published page is non-refundable. If a technical fault on our side stops your page working and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we will refund that page in full.

7. Your content stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you upload — your photos, your words, your recordings. You give us permission to store, process and display that content for the sole purpose of running Wish-ly and showing your page to the people you share it with. That permission ends when the content is deleted.

8. What you may not upload

You confirm that you have the right to upload everything you upload. Please don't post:

• photos or recordings of someone who has not agreed to appear;
• music or other material you don't hold the rights to — including commercial tracks. We remove infringing uploads when we are told about them;
• anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexual, or designed to humiliate someone;
• anything that impersonates another person, or that misleads people about who made it;
• malware, or attempts to break, overload or scrape the service.

9. Wishes from friends, and moderation

Wishes are written and recorded by other people. We host them; we don't write or vet them in advance. As the page owner you decide which wishes appear. We may remove any content that breaches these terms, and we may suspend an account that repeatedly does so.

10. How long your page stays up

A published page and its uploads are hosted for twelve months from the day you publish, then deleted. Save a copy of anything you want to keep beyond that. You can delete a page yourself at any time before then.

11. Availability

We work hard to keep Wish-ly running, but we provide it as it is. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or retire features. If we retire something that materially affects a page you have already paid for, we will tell you first.

12. Ending things

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and in serious cases without notice. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund for pages already published.

13. Our liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the page the claim relates to. We are not liable for indirect losses, or for content that you or your contributors upload.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and for significant changes we will email you. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you're an EU or UK consumer, this does not remove the protections your local law gives you.
